Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British American musician and sitarist is best known for her musical talents. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and the first female to receive it. Apart from receiving nine Grammy nominations, she was also the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging star on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil and is also his daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in 1982, she was raised in London. Her early years included a period of time in London and New Delhi. Her debut concert was in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. At the age of 13, she finished her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful music and acting career, despite being young. She often joins her father in performances this she has been doing for several years. She has released Anourag her first album solo in 1998. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. She's performed in all major venues around the globe. Anoushka isn't just a performer. She released Bapi The love of my life in the year 2002. The book is a biography which pays tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. She has also acted in movies in 2003. She played the role in the film Dance Like a Man where she is a young Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka Shankar's professional career is continuing to grow and we are likely to see a variety of things from her in years to be. Anoushka Shankar is a British native who lived her early days in London, Delhi and California. at the age of nine She began studying the piano with her father. Her debut performance on the Sitar was at her 75th Birthday celebration in Delhi just four years later. As a part of her dad's band as they toured around the globe, Anoushka was able to accumulate a variety of experiences appearing at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens performing at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival as well as performing together with George Harrison. The House of Commons Shield was given an award by the British Parliament in recognition of being the top Asian Arts musician. She is the only female and youngest recipient of this prize.
