Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has worked with various government agencies and governments across the globe on policy as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
